Risca Bike Park

Rider-built network of steep, loamy lines dropping off the Cwmcarn ridge towards Risca, built and maintained by the Risca Riders volunteer group on Natural Resources Wales land. Three main descents — Busy Lizzie, the long committing main line over boulders and drops; the short technical Wacko-Jacko; and Mayhem, with a demanding gully section near the top. Unsanctioned and unwaymarked, red to black, and not a venue for beginners. Park at Cwmcarn visitor centre (pay and display, NP11 7FA), climb 3 to 4 miles via the fire road or the Twrch trail, then loop back on the canal towpath.
