Clayton Vale Mountain Bike Trails

Just over 12km of purpose-built urban mountain bike trails through Clayton Vale Local Nature Reserve, minutes from Manchester city centre. Funded jointly by British Cycling, Sport England and Manchester City Council and free to ride. Trails range from the family-friendly Easy Rider - designed to take adaptive and accessible bikes, a world first - to the twisting, bermed Sidewinder and steeper technical lines for experienced riders. The National Cycling Centre acts as trailhead with cafe, bike hire and bike wash.
