Cavehill Mountain Bike Trail

Belfast's first sanctioned natural off-road trail, opened in October 2022 in Cave Hill Country Park after a long campaign by local riders. The Middle Trail is a hand-built black descent of roughly 700m dropping from near the caves through the park, opening with a couple of qualifying jumps that gate the rest of the run before flowing through jumps, drops and berms. Built from natural materials and maintained by Cavehill Mountain Bike Club under an agreement with Belfast City Council. No uplift — you push or pedal back up. Park at Belfast Castle. More trails are planned.
